Hi I’m half Japanese and half British. I was born in Japan then moved to the UK when I was 10 and now I’m 21 years old. It was so stupid of me but I let my Japanese passport expired and I want to apply for a new one in the UK. But since the age to chose the nationality was lowered to 18 and now you have to chose by 20 which I am over.
I know legally you can’t but, does anyone know if there’s a way to apply for a new Japanese passport without them making me chose my nationality? I heard something about if I was making a effort or something to renounce my nationality then they will let me but I’m not too sure…
Please help me in any way I’m panicking so much right now
