I have a slot for 2 days in Izu in my Japan itinerary. I needed your help regarding where to Stay in Izu & what all places are must to explore.
Basically, I will be renting a car early morning from Tokyo & spend the remainder and following day In Izu. I know its a good place for beaches, but I am confused where exactly should we select the hotel for 2 nights. On the 3rd day, I plan to checkout from hotel in the morning & head to Kawaguchiko by car to spend the rest of the day there!
I am not sure which place would be better for me to book the hotel to optimize the 2 days I spend. I do have a car, so I think I can stay at not-so-popular places as well(?)
I am thinking of Ito or Jogasaki areas but the prices doesn't seem to be very normal there. Also, since I have to leave for Kawaguchiko post this trip, I am not sure what should be the flow of itinerary!
Would really appreciate if you guys can share your suggestions on
1. Where to book the hotel, considering the availablity of rental car & a preference of near beach area. Even though the cost minimisation is not a high requirement, but I can try for it if there's not much loss.
2. What should be the high level flow of itinerary in Izu? Which area to explore first & then to where.. & so on.
Any small help would be highly appreciated.
