I've been learning at a basic level for years so mostly I understand elementary Teach Yourself type dialogues. But real Japanese TV just sounds like people babbling with occasional words I know thrown in.
What I really want is some kind of drama, comedy, whatever with subtitles in Japanese and English that I can use for learning conversational Japanese. I'm not really into anime. I've got a region 2 DVD player that should be able to play Japanese DVDs. Ideally I'd rather watch on Youtube.
I'm a bit stumped about what to even look for. I don't mind watching children's stuff but I'm looking for content that's authentically Japanese (not dubbed into Japanese).
Any ideas…?
