I am a solo traveler and this will be my first time leaving the U.S. I am from Houston Texas so heat and humidity is no issue to me. Let me know if i need to switch things around or take anything out that y'all don't think i have time for! Also i know its very tourist spot heavy but thats what im looking for this time around, as I plan to return with a friend eventually to explore further. I have all of the train lines i'd take already planned out in a different document.
**Day 1: Tokyo Arrival**
Land in Tokyo, check into hotel.
Get transit pass and Japanese SIM card.
See Shinjuku Gyoen Garden if possible, i know its a hike.

**Day 2: Tokyo**
Visit Meiji Shrine.
Explore Harajuku/Omotesando fashion districts.
Shop Takeshita Street.
Ichiran ramen in Kabukicho for dinner if time permits
**Day 3: Fuji Five Lakes**
Very early day trip to Fuji Five Lakes region.
Lake Kawaguchi, Chureito Pagoda for Fuji views.
Return to hotel and find some food/kombini
**Day 4: To Kyoto**
Shinkansen to Kyoto, check into ryokan.
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Tenryu-ji Temple gardens.
Kaiseki ryokan dinner, onsen hot spring.
**Day 5: Kyoto**
Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine and torii gates.
Gion district for potential geisha/maiko sightings.
Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion and gardens.
Philosopher's Path walk
check back into ryokan
**Day 6: Nara Day Trip**
Day trip to Nara – temples, shrines, deer park.
Todai-ji, Kasuga Taisha, forest strolls.
Dinner in Nara or Kyoto
check back into ryokan
**Day 7: Departure**
Final Kyoto morning exploration.
Konbini stop before departing Kyoto.
unsure about flights leaving Japan
what airport do y'all recommend leaving from? Should I catch the shinkansen to Tokyo again to leave there?
