First overseas trip alone :)

I’m (31F) travelling to Japan on my own on September 5-19.
I’ve been researching for weeks, making lists of things I would like to do in and around the cities I’ll be staying in, making notes, adding pictures, noting down check in and check out days etc.

Not making a set itinerary, just having a list of things in each city i can pick from on whatever day I choose allowing for free time and rest days when I need them.

I’ve booked my accomodation for 5 days in Shinjuku, will do day trips to Nara and Mt Fuji etc from there, 5 days in Osaka/Dotonbori, again will do day trips from there, and am wanting to stay in Kyoto for a few days as well and then the last couple of nights, second last night find a nice ryokan in a forest somewhere and then the last night stay somewhere close to Narita.

Is this enough pre planning?
I’ll buy train tickets when I’m actually taking a train so I’m not paying for massive passes I won’t really need.

I’m thinking of booking my days in Kyoto/Ryokan/Narita closer to the date or even on my last few days in Osaka to gauge budget.

What are some planning things you guys have done to prepare for the trip?

Tyvm 🙂

I’m excited to get out of my comfort zone and explore a world so different to Australia.
