How does KFC menu work in Japan?
The first time I tried what they call the original chicken that was so juicy, it's literally finger licking good. A few days later I went with my family and wanted to show them how good it was. So I ordered the same set for 3 people. The reception lady got somehow confused as to why I'm ordering the same item for everyone. Then she suggested I try other items from the menu. I insisted that I wanted that particular juicy chicken for everyone. She called the manager to explain to me why it wouldn't work. Manager said they can't make me the same set for 3 people and that I needed to choose another item. My japanese was not a problem, but I was confused. People were waiting behind me so I didn't want to take too long, went along with it, confused… A few weeks later I wanted to try again. We went to another KFC restaurant ordered the same menu for everyone. This time the order was made on the self order machine. Whey they delivered our food, everyone got different chickens, only one of us got the juicy one. This has been happening for quite some time. They don't allow the tampin order for that particular chicken only. It has to be a set but you don't know what chicken you get. Other chickens are dry.
Is that normal in KFC? What are my options?
