This year's G1 is going to be a real test for the company. G1 season is the beginning of the Wk19 build and who will be in the main event of the Tokyo Dome. Last year we had 32 participants, and now we've returned back to 20 and they have to pick the right talent to be in this G1 to make it standout. Because it's the G1 the biggest tournament in wrestling.
And for the past two tournaments this year with the NJC & BOSJ both tournaments didn't really feel as special compared to past years.
The G1 this year needs a balance of strong fresh matches and new rivalries throughout the G1. I think if they want a strong focus for the G1 certain talent shouldn't be in it. Teams like Bishamon and our new tag champs shouldn't be in it.
They could use the excuse that both teams are focused on raising the tag division. TMDK would hype us ZSJ for the G1. And bishmon have been in the tournament for years and can be taken out of the tournament.Same goes for Tana,Yano,etc.
