  1. From anime Vinland saga

    戦場での斬った斬られたは恨みっこなしだ。

How is は able to directly attach onto to the た form of 斬る is の/こと simply being dropped? Also I just realized why での? When neither 斬った 斬られた is a noun?

My guess is that 斬った 斬られた being treated as an expression? meaning not exactly but something vaguely to the expression ” all is fair in love and war”?
