Recycling/dumping old goods in Great Tokyo area

My girlfriend recently bought a new fridge and we're looking to offload her broken one. In short, I'm wondering if there's an option here in the greater Tokyo area (Tokyo, Chiba, Yokohama, Kawasaki) that's similar to what I had in Yamaguchi where you can drive up and offload your items at a large recycling facility and just pay the disposal fee on site. Trying to get around the tedious setup and long wait time (and sometimes expensive) traditional method of Sodai Gomi. Also wanting to avoid wastes of time like fb marketplace.

The shop we bought it from was offering us a disposal fee of around 7,000 yen to take her old fridge, it's not a very big one maybe about chest high on me and I'm about 182 cm, just seems like a lot of money to spend when I have a van and could possibly take it somewhere and spend less to pay for the disposal fee.
Let me know if you have any tips here! Again I have the luxury of having a large vehicle and I can take this a greater distance than the 23 wards…

Thanks!
