I just moved to a new area of Tokyo and away from a great local bar near my old place where I got to know a lot of locals both Japanese and foreign. I had found the bar through Google Maps, so I tried the same method again in my new at was to no avail. Searches for “bar” and “pub” are showing a lot of shot bars and snacks, but I’m looking more for a place to hang out and meet/talk to people.
Would love to hear experiences/suggestions on how to find the “local.” Alternatively, if anyone lives in or around the Nagahara(Ikegami Line)/Magome area, please feel free to reach out! Many thanks.
