Do company-provided hokensho expire?

I was at my clinic today, and when the nurse returned my hokensho to me after checking, she said it expired next month (this is the hokensho provided via my company, fwiw).

I cannot see any kind of indication of an expiry date on either face of the card. Do these things expire?
