Two questions about the special teaching license

1. Does it also apply to private schools?

2. Does the salary vary between cities within the prefecture, or is it the same throughout (since the salary comes from the prefecture)?

TIA

  1. Yes it applies to both public and private. Public school salaries differ among cities and prefectures due to cost of living. Private school salaries are significantly higher.

  2. Salary varies because it is usually based on various factors like previous working experiences, publications (if any), level of education, and years since graduation. Then, of course the cost of living in the area too.

  3. After a certain number of years, salary can be adjusted based on age (private school).

  4. What is a special teachers license ? Is it different from a normal teaching license ?
