I'm interested in working in a tech company in Japan. I have N2, a master's degree and 8 years of experience.
Is there a website where I can read reviews/comments of current or past employees of Japanese companies?
In general, how can I research the working conditions of a particular company? What are some common red flags of the so called black companies that I can look for in the job descriptions and during the interview?
And I have another silly question that I couldn't find the answer to yet.
As I understand, a new employee is entitled to 10 days of paid leave 6 months after joining a company. However, typically when you move to a new country, there are a lot of formalities that needs to be done during the working hours. Registering your address in the city hall, openning a bank account, getting a cellphone contract etc.
In my country, the standard proceedure is taking a few hours of your paid leave when you need to run an errand during the working hours. How is it typically done in Japan? Do the employers give you an extra special time off for such errands (as you don't have any paid leave when you join), or do I get the chance to compensate for any time off by working late?
Thank you in advance
