14 Day Itinerary late September/October

Hello all,

I'm planning to travel for 14 Days to Japan via Japan airlines with my girlfriend.

We initially built our trip and wanted to share for potential feedback. We haven't decided which hotels to book right now. We want to book them as soon as our plans are finished.

We don't to fully pack all days so we've got room for improvisation.

Day 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 Toyko (order not fully planned, same as Kyoto. Doing things that are near to each other on a day. )

  • Usagiza Lepus (must have for my GF)
  • Nakano Broadway
  • Ikebukuro
  • Pokémon Center
  • Rikugi-en
  • maybe the Meiji Shrine
  • Hello kitty store (must have for my GF)
  • Shibuya
  • Toyko Tower
  • ginza
  • Kōkyo Higashi-gyoen
  • Maybe Tokyo National museum
  • odaiba
  • Disneyland Tokio day trip (on a weekday, never weekend). Must have for my GF. I'm afraid it's gonna be really busy nevertheless.
  • Flight back home at around 11 pm.

That are right now our itinerary plans. Some questions came to my mind.

  • Is day 3 to intense? Should we take a hotel at Nara?
  • Should we go to toyko early from Hakone? Or stay half a day in Hakone?
  • is the national museum worth it? I personally would maybe cut a shrine or a park for the museum.
  • I suppose it's to early for a nice foliage at our destinations.
  • Should be buy appropriate train tickets in advance? Or do we buy all in Japan (for example on day 1 at Osaka airport?

I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you very much in advance.
