I’m about to complete my computer science degree (from India) in few months . I will hopefully have knowledge till jlpt n4 by then . I want to work as a gameplay/ai programmer in tokyo.
I know people here have said get industry experience first then come to japan but the thing is we only have one AAA company here and they dont take freshers so I can only join small indie studio that makes mobile games for unity. So my questions are :
1. Would having experience in such small indie company even count for AAA companies in tokyo like bandai namco etc.
2. Is there an actually good course / diploma I can do in Japan ( in English hopefully ) that can increase my chances of getting a job after completing it . I found HAL but then I see it has really bad reviews

First, why do you want to come to Japan for game dev jobs?
Second, look at small startups in Japan; AI / machine learning programming would be a good focus. I would advise against game dev studios, and also be wary of black company practices.
Why not work for a company in the US first?
