Should I be concerned?

Last week I went to Gold’s gym with my car since it has a free parking. After I parked I noticed a scratch on the front bumper of the car to my left. I didn’t get any feeling of hitting the car when I was parking. Anyways I checked my bumper to be sure and there was nothing on my car so I thought someone else who came before me has done it and went to gym.

Yesterday I got a call from police asking me if I had an accident. I told them no and they asked me if I went to the gym last week with a car and I said yes. That just reminded me the event and I told them if they were talking about the white BMW that I parked next to. Said I have noticed the scratch mark but then I checked my car and there was nothing also I have a drive recorder said that I could provide them the recordings.

Took half day off from work, went to the station, with officers we checked the car they copied my insurance papers and my SDcard. When they were done with it they took my photos like a criminal and they told me If I want to apply insurance for the hit and run and told me that they saw my car shaking from my video.

I also watched the drive recorder before going to station so I told them I know what they are talking about, but the car shakes because I am changing gear from reverse to drive to not hit the back of the car to the car to my right. So I said I haven’t done it. We went outside again next to my car and they checked the car again and there is no indication of my car hitting anything(they had a ruler they checked the places that are the same height as the scratch on the BMW).

After spending nearly an hour they said if anything comes up they will contact me and I left. Should I be worried ? I am sure that I haven’t done it. For example if they somewhat still want me to pay what can I do ? Also wouldn’t it be weird for insurance too to pay to another person when there is no physical proof on my car scratching the other car ?
