A good way to introduce myself to neighbors

Just moved in with my fiancée and I was wondering if there was a “proper” way to introduce myself and break the ice with my Japanese neighbors.

I brought small chocolates but I’m not sure what to say or if it’s appropriate?

I would like to stick to the bare minimum since I can’t really have a real conversation in Japanese currently!
