Hello beautiful people,
With my wife, we are considering moving to Osaka (Tokyo and Kyoto are also considered) from Central-Europe as we just love the place, the food, and the culture.
I am trying to create a list of things before making any decisions – for example, what would be our expenses, etc., how about kids, and pets?
In theory, I could work at a European/UK company as a consultant and live in Japan, so work should not be an issue. (btw. I am a technical lead for artificial intelligence team).
We would consider living there for 1-2 years. Then extend it if we are happy.
I was wondering where can I look around for rent? Also, we are interested in how much would we need to pay to furnish it, or it's just better to rent the furnishing as well (machines, furniture).
I also have 3 sub-questions
– What other expenses do I need to consider before moving that might be "special" compared to Europe?
– We'd like to have a baby in the near future – can this be a problem?
– We have a small dog (dachshund) – can we have problems with him?
