Hey people of Kyoto,
I've been hitting a bit of a wall with my coding projects lately. Distractions, lack of motivation, you name it. And to top it off, I'm still a beginner, currently diving into web development. It got me thinking, maybe I'm not the only one in this boat? So, here's an idea: what if we formed a local coding group? Nothing too formal, just a bunch of us setting weekly coding targets to hit by every Saturday.
Here's the game plan:
- Weekly Goals: Set a coding goal for the week. Could be building a small app, diving into a new framework, or just committing to a certain number of coding hours.
- Accountability: We'll keep each other in check, making sure we're all making some progress.
- Discord Group: A place for us to chat, ask questions, show off what we've made, and generally just hang out.
- Team Up: If someone's got a cool project idea, why not collaborate? Two heads (or more) are better than one.
Now, here's the kicker: don't hesitate if you're a beginner, just starting out, or even just thinking of starting out. All levels are welcome. Plus, we'll be using both English and Japanese in our discussions. It's a great way to level up our Japanese skills (which, by the way, I'm not great at either). So, it's a win-win!
If you've been feeling a bit lost or just want some pals to code with, this could be a good fit. Let's help each other out and make some cool stuff while we're at it.
If you're down, leave a comment or shoot me a message. Let's get this ball rolling!
edit: I have created the discord server for people who are interested. Here is the invite: https://discord.gg/aNrXZ6hS . See you there!
