I am thinking about getting a new credit card and probably AMEX gold since it seems like they currently have a pretty good deal for bonus points.
My question is : for amex gold card – "If you use the card for a total of 1 million yen or more within 6 months after joining", you are basically getting around 120000 points which is huge.
I am currently engaged and about to buy engagement rings / marriage rings. Should I sign up Amex Gold card and use my new amex card to purchase those to get the points faster? because I really don't think I would be spending 1 million yen in 6 months to be honest without special purchases like rings or such.
