Is 5k including two tickets enough for a week in Japan at the end of January?

I want to take my son to Japan for his 13th birthday. We’d be traveling from either Austin Texas or Fort Lauderdale Florida to Tokyo Japan. Is this a realistic budget and time frame? Can we do enough in a week in Japan? What does a good price look like for airfare?
