Hello lovely people of Kyoto. I fell in love recently with your city while traveling with my family. I have a strange favor to ask if someone is willing to assist me.
While walking though the Ninenzaka neighborhood one morning with my teenage daughter we passed a craft store that had these really cute little ceramic houses for sale in the window. The shop wasn’t open yet but my daughter was so smitten with them we decided to return later in the day when the shop was open to pick a few up.
Cut to later in the afternoon and we cross town specifically to stop by the shop again, but were disappointed to find it still closed for the day. We had to leave early the next morning and while obviously disappointed, my daughter put on a brave face regarding the ordeal and chalked it up to everything not breaking your way when traveling.
However I would love to surprise her with the houses for her birthday in a few months time.
I realize this is a stretch, but would anyone be willing to buy some of these small ceramic houses and ship them to the states? I would of course pay for everything and compensate you for your time. Please DM me if you’re willing to help!
