Is it worth to study technology in japan?

So, im brazilian and i have the plan to study IT in Japan. I was sure i wanted that, but i did some research and saw people saying that it's only useful to study in Japan if you're going to work there, but that it is true? To me it doesn't make sense, like, isn't Japan one of the most recognized countries in terms of technology? Why wouldn't I have opportunities in other countries with a Japanese degree? I thought it would be a big difference for my career to have degree in Japan, in any country
