PR Speedrun working as little in Japan as possible

I am a US Citizen and Software Engineer, I want to live in Japan and work for US companies remotely to geoarbitrage. The salaries are significantly lower in Japan and I want to minimize the amount of time I work with the lower salary.

Obviously spousal/descent would be the best options but lets ignore those. From my understanding the fastest way to get PR would be getting 80 points through the HSP points system. Normally doing this you would have to work at least 1-2 years (including PR processing time) for Japanese companies before being able to quit.

I'm wondering if there is a better option than this and came up with some ideas. I don't think working holiday visa is possible for the US, however, it looks like another option that allows you to work for US companies is the J-Find visa. Theoretically its possible to score 80 points while on the J-Find visa for 1 year, then you would convert to HSP for a guaranteed 5 years visa instantly starting the PR process. This would mean you only have to work for a Japanese company the duration it takes to complete the PR application.

The only tough part with this strategy is im not sure if the US income would count for anything point wise while on the J-Find meaning you would have to score 80 points without any income points. Thoughts?
