Hi! I'm trying to decide what should I do in order to have the best chances to move to japan
I'm currently 27 years old, with a degree in computer science, 2.5 YOE as a software developer, and 20k USD on savings.
I have the JLPT N3, and still studying japanese.
I don't have native-level english, teaching it is a nono
My final goal is to obtain a work visa, allowing me to reside in the country for more than 2 years, or at least be able to renew it
I need to find a company that'd sponsor me, my options, as far as I know, are as follows:
Working Holiday Visa and job-hunt: in my country the age limit is 30 years old at the moment of application
So I think it should have the highest priorityMEXT and job-hunt near the end: From my country I can apply for MEXT with an age limit of 34.
2nd priority because of the higher age limitLanguage School and job-hunt near the end.
Is there more?
My current plan is to get at least N2 while I continue working in my country, also increasing my savings, then go for option 1 (WHV).
If I don't get a job in japan during my stay, I'd try with option 2. In worst case scenario I'd be 32 when I return to my country, so I get at least 2 chances. If everything fails, I can save up enough money for option 3 and enroll in a language school.
I know I can apply for jobs overseas, but I've read a lot that it is diffcult if you are not currently in Japan, so I don't want to rely completely on something with such low chances.
I think that's the way to maximize my opportunities, but I'm not sure if this is good enough, maybe there is some path, some route that I didn't find yet
Please, feel free to comment on my plan, thank you in advance.
