Meeting a Maiko

I'm a foreigner visiting Kyoto for the third time (October) and tried to research ways to meet/Interact with a Maiko: most that I could find was either through a ryokan or a tea ceremony that others do not recommend (for the overall tea ceremony aspect, nothing about the Maiko themselves). My next attempt is to call a restaurant (that's in a ryokan) to try to schedule/get a quote. Truthfully I don't expect to find anything at this point (due to it being only a couple months away), just wanted to know if any local redditers know another thing I can try; If anyone has a recommendation, I sincerely appreciate it.

Update: it's a group of 5, my sister and I are the ones who really want to see Maiko. I am aware that any Maiko bookings are not for a single customer, price point is a limiting factor for the group.
