Residence card: can I get the new one before the expiry date if I apply 3 months before?

Hello all,
Just a question to reconfirm my doubt about the residence card renewal process. I have searched around and this seems to be the case but just want to reconfirm.
My residence card expires in March 2025 and I am planning to renew it in January 2025(can apply 3 months prior). Since the average time that it’s taking immigration bureau seems to be around 2 months, will I be getting my renewed residence card around end of February then? I have to travel somewhere outside the country in may so wanted to make sure if I can still make it or not.
