Google translate is innacurate, any other translator?

so google translate helped me when learning english because it was rather accurate, but this ain’t the case for japanese where it seems it was designed by a monkey.

Are there alternatives?

  1. As the other user said, DeepL is indeed better, but I would strongly encourage you not to rely too much on machine translation of any kind, or at least do so as little as humanly possible.

It’s always just a crutch/training wheels and not a substitute for actually learning and internalizing the language for yourself. It’ll make you think you understand more than you do and keep you from actually doing the heavy lifting (figuratively speaking) for yourself.

  2. Use something actually meant for learning if you want to learn. Don’t let a machine make your mistakes for you.
