Hi all, I'm a 23 yo guy from Italy and I will most likely get my engineering master degree in Telecommunication (specializing both in networking/IoT and metamaterials). I've also studied japanese for the last 2 years and got the JLPT N5 last December (tho I'm starting to study harder since March and plan to get at least N4 this December).
Right now I think I've got 3 possible ways to come to Japan:
1. Getting in the Vulcanus Project, which is very unlikely as every year just 15-20 students get selected from 800+ applicants (I got great grades but statistics ain't on my side unfortunately)
2. Working on my Master's thesis in a japanese university, which one of my professors said it's possible (tho this would be just a temporary solution and still quite not easy to get)
3. Find a job and move there.
For the last years I've been working hard on point 1 and 2 but I would love to have a realistic backup plan to fulfill my dream. I've read on this sub that N2+ is almost always recommended for landing a job so I've also considered applying for a language school for a year after my Master's.
The point is: while is rather easy to look for a job in other "famous" countries (like the US, UK and other EU countries) on LinkedIn and other websites, I can't really find any japanese company posting job offers. The only ones I could find were a few ones requiring years of experience, which to me is a bit odd since I've been told quite a lot this year that telecom/electronics graduates are scarce nowadays and there's a lot of companies looking for them.
My master is very versatile as a discipline so I thought it should've been even easier for me to find jobs since I could work both in the networking/IoT industry and the EM/antennas one, but my search's results let me a bit down.
Thanks for reading and sorry for the long post!
