I want to move to Japan. I always have, ever since I studied abroad. However I know I don’t have many job options. But I’m hoping I’m wrong or someone here can suggest something…
My background is in program management (specifically aid and development for which there is not a huge market in Japan). I love my work but I am open to other options cos the pay in my field is terrible. It never used to matter but with the ongoing cost of it in crisis it’s starting to.
I really don’t want to teach English, otherwise I might’ve just gone and done it ages ago.
I am British, live in the UK. However, the quality of life is just terrible. In japan my Preference is Tokyo or Osaka. English speaking job is preferable. my Japanese is conversational, I don’t really want to learn kaigo but if I absolutely have to, I can.
So my question is: what career fields could I approach in Japan, applying from the UK (would need visa sponsorship). OR is there a way I can go there, find a temp job and then look for work?
Anyone have any ideas or tips, please?
