Hi all! Moving to a house near Kiyomizu-Gojo St. but it doesn’t have a hardwired net access point. It has no phone line and we won’t be able to install one or a fiber optic cable.
It does have a tv outlet but J:COM (which seems to the only ISP that can provide net access via tv line) is more expensive than I want to pay for.
So ….. we’re looking at UQ WIMAX 5G service and wondering if anyone has any thoughts about their experience with the service (preferably in the area we’re moving to).
Download speeds okay (especially on evenings/weekends)? Any issues with using it to stream Netflix to two or more devices simultaneously? Suitable for online gaming? Any data caps as I occasionally download 50~100GB games to console?
Any thoughts are welcome as are suggestions for alternative net access (bearing in mind we can’t install any new lines as it’s an old recently renovated machiya and owner doesn’t want any new cables laid)
