Leaving in December to move back home. Wife and kids will be moving to her parents’ house (in Japan) until about May (then they will be joining me in my home country).
I’ll tick the re-entry 1 year box when I leave because I’ll be coming back in April/May for a wedding (Current spouse visa is valid until 2027).
* **Question:** Should I officially change my address to my wife’s parents’ house and then put that new address on my residence card?
Just worried about having current address still on residence card when I come back in 2023 because we will be moving out of there this December.

If you want to keep any bank accounts/etc open, you definitely want to change your address to a valid one.
