Kawaguchiko on a public holiday

Hi! I've been planning my group's activities for Tokyo (1 Nov-7 Nov). I wanted to make sure that we don't have days where we have to be up super early consecutive days in a row. Weekends are for activities in Tokyo only.

So I planned Kawaguchiko on Nov 4 (Monday) because I expected it would be less busy/weekday but I just learned it's Culture Day.

We're planning to rent a car once we reach there but this will be our first time driving in Japan so there's a bit of worry of driving in high traffic too.

Will we be expecting more crowds than usual? Should we book early for the highway bus or Fuji excursions? Is there another alternative besides these two?

I could swap Kamakura (planned for Nov 1, Friday) too I guess, depending on the weather?

Thanks!!

Edit: For context, the days will be like this

1 Nov (Fri) – Kamakura

Sat/Sun – Tokyo things

4 Nov (Mon) – Mt Fuji

5 Nov (Tue) – Tokyo things/half day trip

6 Nov (Wed) – DisneySea

7 Nov (Thurs) – Last full day in Tokyo before early flight on 8th so it's whatever day
