AAS/Steroids/Testosterone therapy in Japan?

I’m moving to Japan in a couple month and I am an amateur bodybuilder. I use steroids 24 weeks out of the year (just test and var). I read some seemingly outdated stuff about steroid legality in Japan from about 8-9 years ago that says they aren’t nearly as strict on steroids as they are on other drugs. Can anyone let me know if they have any knowledge about this? I’m finding it incredibly difficult to find anything at all from the last five years. Considering calling a Japanese lawyer.

It’s not make or break from me, but I very much would like to continue my cycles there. Thanks in advance.

[Please refrain from health advice or virtue signaling about the use of AAS. I understand the risks and have decided that it is the right choice for me. Thank you.]

  1. From what I understand, Japanese body builders get all their gains from eating dog food

  2. Steroids are generally not too big of a problem and are widely available and legal here.

From experience, you can easily get Anavar and Dianabol and other Orals but injection such as Test/Tren are harder to get.

The problem with injectables isn’t the Steroid in itself but getting the Needles as they’re what’s highly regulated here and you can’t really get them in any easy way which might be why Orals are just so much easier to order.

Just wanted to add, I don’t actually do Steroids but I’m heavily invested in the Fitness Industry and AAS Research so I know my way around the common compounds.
You might need to look on an individual basis but AAS in general are not illegal here.

A quick google search should give you a few labs selling some *coughcough*Osakasomething*coughcough*.

  3. I can’t even imagine how much more difficult it will be to get a supplier of something like anavar in Japan compared to the states.

  4. I just flat out don’t respect anyone on steroids or PEDs. I have been weight lifting for 4 years now and completely natural. I’m very proud of the progress I have made and every single person in the gym is admirable in my mind because of the determination, discipline and scheduling required to train frequently.

With that being said, I recommend making natural gains with hard work rather than taking a shortcut and cheating yourself. Especially if you’re trying to be a fitness influencer or promoting any products/workouts on social media. It’s selling people a false promise that they too can accomplish what you did.

Your body will only be damaged beyond repair in the long run. Not to mention the insane amount of money you will waste on drugs. It’s not too late to quit. Hope you can change your perspective on fitness, gym culture and training.

  5. Very informative. I’m actually moving to Japan next month and on TRT 200mg test cyp. I’ve read that the doctors there aren’t as liberal when it comes to TRT and you have to go to their clinics to get injected. I think I’ll stock up and pack it with my house hold goods shipment.
