I'm approaching the end of a two month trip around Japan. I have three free days to fill and haven't yet explored north of Tokyo. I've heard Niigata and Sendai are both worth visiting.
I don't feel like I see enough of a place staying for only one night so am trying to decide which one to check out. Can anyone give me some guidance on where I should head?
