Working with the HR department of my future employer to submit the COE application right now. I have given them a letter from my uni including my approximate expected graduation date of 31st Dec. My degree will be conferred around dec 1st however.
Some sources say the immigration department won't accept this and will require a degree/graduation certificate – which I won't get until early December. Has that been the general experience here?
Considering COE processing times of up to 3 months, this is concerning because flight to Japan is booked for Jan 10th and my start date was slated for 1st of Feb.
Is there any way to expedite COEs?
Also if my Visa is not ready in time, can I arrive on a tourist Visa and wait for my working visa to finish processing?
