Living & Working in Osaka [Questions]

Dear all,

I recently received a job offer to work in Osaka.

The office is located in Kita-Ku, near the Oebashi station.

I'm as excited as I am puzzled by this. Mainly about the salary.

They offer 500k yen a month. And honestly, I don't know what to think about it. My first mistake was to compare the number with my home country (switzerland). Which, where I am right now is not considered as "good" salary. But this is by swiss standards and the cost of life.

So I want to ask you if it is a good salary (confortable) to live in Osaka ?

What do you think about ?

EDIT: sorry guys for the lack of information. As some of you pointed out I’ll add more information about the position.

  • 40 hours a week, 5 days a week.
  • Japanese social security, so healthcare is “included”
  • I’ll work for the consulate of my country.
  • 20 days vacation + the national holidays.
