I moved to Japan just last week, and didn't receive a zairyu card at the airport because I entered through a smaller airport. I finished my house contract and reported my address to the municipal office and all, but my concern is whether or not the delivery man requires my signature at the moment of delivery. I don't currently have a phone number since I obviously don't have my zairyu card, and currently staying at a hotel at the moment. Since I don't have a phone number I don't know when the delivery man is coming, and can't just sit at the new apartment hoping the delivery guy will come when there's nothing in the room. Does anyone know if I need to be present to receive the zairyu card? Sorry the text became really long
