Planning a more relaxed Japan trip this time and I am kind of leaning more towards on finding unique hotels/airbnbs/etc to stay at. Something with cool architecture/design to it. Either modern or old. Basically something interesting, unique, or fun so that even when I am not out and about, I can still enjoy the place that we're staying at versus it just being a place to go back to and sleep.
I will be going in early/mid October.
The only plan I have so far is that I'll be flying into Tokyo. I have no problem going to any other areas of Japan. This isn't my first trip, so there isn't any must do things for me.
The idea of staying in a older or more traditional type of airbnb seems like it would be a cool experience. I would just not be interested in staying in one of those without any AC during that time of the year though.
Feel free to give me any suggestions you guys might have. Whether you've stayed in a certain place yourself or just something you've seen online.
