I'm talking about game-center where kids are incentivized to "play" at those machines where you just keep inserting coins to push more coins and gain more.
By Incentivized I mean:
Either they "earn" free coins from nearby shops/amenities which they have to use at the coin game.
Gambling machines just for kids to use these coins without spending money, so they can mimic the behavior of the addicted adults nearby.
Gambling machines with lower cost coin (e.g. 10 yen per coin instead 100), so middle age schooler can fill their buckets with coins by spending a small amount of real money.
All of this not for fun but just to get them addicted to gambling.
I understand gambling and pachinko is a huge business for Japan, but at least those are close environments only for adults. Teaching and incentivizing kids to gamble is a very ugly sight.
Any experience yourself? and do you know if anything is being done in terms of regulations/laws?
