Got two this morning!
1 – My AC remote seems to have packed it in and the unit’s automatic setting isn’t always to my liking, so I’d like to have remote functionality again asap. As such, I don’t want to wait around to hear back from landlord/maintenance.
So, my question is: if I buy the exact same AC remote, will it automatically connect to my unit once I pop in the batteries? Or would there be some kind of complicated pairing process?
2 – I just returned from vacation and hadn’t used my apartment in two weeks. This morning after washing up with hot water, then switching back to cold, my water turned orange-translucent for about ten seconds before running clear again. A quick Google search has me hoping it’s just “because of iron and manganese deposits. These are naturally-occurring minerals which settle in the water mains over time” maybe settling a little bit in my kitchen sink pipes due to the lack of use. But then I’m also paranoid about “corroded galvanized pipes.” Has anyone experienced this? I’m planning to contact my building’s maintenance department if it happens again, but would like some anecdotal insight anyways.
My ricecooker went dead all of sudden :/ . Like literally no physical damage, fall or anything. It just dont turn on :/
tl;dr where to get a hole in the leather upper part of a boot repaired in the Yokohama/Tokyo area?
I don’t rotate my shoes nearly as much as I should, and my beastly foot claws finally poked a hole right through the top of my most comfortable boots. I brought them to the shoe repair guy at our local Aeon (it was one of those shops that also does keys, hanko, and name signs for houses) and he said he couldn’t do it, but there was probably someone who could, but he didn’t really know any specifics.
A pointer to a specific shop that could handle this would be ideal, but even some pointers about what type of shop I should even be looking for would help a lot!!!
