For those of you with a Mirena IUD, I know that recently in the U.S. and Europe, the Mirena has gotten approval for use up to 8 years. However, when I had mine placed here, they told me it was good up to 5 years, and I’ve yet to see anything different.
I know that since the Mirena here is the exact same as it is elsewhere in the world, “international” standards should apply, but has anyone seen/heard anything regarding this in Japan?
