Hello 🙂 we are going to be in Japan 12/23-1/4 and it it our first time. We are really excited and would love some help with the itinerary and any recommendations for cool things to do in winter. We are staying in Roppongi Hills. We are planning on getting the JR pass for travel to and from the airport and to Kyoto/Osaka.
Day 1 mon 12/23- arrive in Narita around 2:30pm travel to Tokyo. Settle in, chill night.
Day 2 tues 12/24 – spend the day in asakusa & ueno park area. Go to the Tokyo national museum and sky tree
Day 3 wed 12/25 – visit Christmas market in Roppongi . Okayama castle and bizen yaki pottery class
Day 4 thur 12/26 – day trip to Fujiten snow resort
Day 5 fri 12/27 Рspend the day around Ginza. Go shopping, Tokyo tower, Japanese sword museum, Pok̩mon cafe.
Day 6 sat 12/28 – spend the day in Shinjuku area. Uobei conveyer belt sushi, cat cafe
Day 7 Sun 12/29 – head to Kyoto early, spend all day and spend the night in Kyoto.
Day 8 Mon 12/30 – wake up early and head to Osaka and spend day at Universal studios. Train back to Tokyo this night
Day 9 Tues 12/31 – spend the day in Shibuya area, NYE countdown at shibuya crossing?
Day 10 – 12 Wed 1/1 – Fri 1/3 – these days I left free to explore Tokyo or go back to an area we really liked before.
Sat 1/4 – travel day.
