Omakase Lunch

My friend is a chef so we went to his restaurant for lunch and got a little carried away.

Courses:

  1. Amberjack w/ Yuzu Jelly and Snapper Wrapped in Shiso
  2. Lean Tuna and Fresh Octopus. The tentacles were served in a shoyu sauce with spicy daikon. The cone was pounded and then sprinkled with rock salt.
  3. Miso Marinated White Sea Bass in Tempura with Nori, Green Onion, and Sesame Seed. Served with pickled ginger, lemon, and shiso.
  4. Snow Crab Soup with White Sea Bass.
  5. Whole Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab w/ Deep Fried Shiso Leaf and Sauce.

  6. Tako Wasabi

Nigiri:

  1. Kombu Marinared Halibut Cheek
  2. Ebi Sweet Shrimp
  3. Shrimp Head served in Flaming Sake
  4. Hokaido Uni
  5. Chu-Toro
  6. O-Toro

*I forgot to take a picture of the golden eyed snapper nigiri.

We split a bottle of Sake and some beers.
