Hi hello I appreciate anyone willing to spend time to answer this. Like the title says me and my boyfriend want to go to Tokyo. I don't have a specific month we wanted to go, so that's the first question. I was thinking of going for 1-2 weeks, should I stay longer or shorter? Should I try to visit other countries while i'm in Asia? We live in the U.S. (los angeles specifically) and are interested in music, art, food, nature, random cool things, I personally really like learning new cultures! I'm most excited about seeing the vending machines in Japan that I've heard so much about. My partner likes fancier things such as nice hotels whereas I like small and intimate such as an airbnb or a hostel for a place to stay. I would love recommendations for both and everything in between. What food places or types of food should I try? Are there art exhibits or nature walks we need to do? What is the best way to experience Tokyo while being realistic and accommodating. My budget I would like to spend is around $60-70 a person per day or $1000 for each person for the whole trip. I appreciate any advice or info!
