Is it possible to change a visa type from “dependent” to “intracompany transfer”?

My spouse is working in Japan on a highly skilled professional visa for more than a year.
1 month ago, I decided to move to Japan and got my “dependent” visa and resident card. Then, I submitted resignation from the job in my home country and prepared to move to Japan as a dependent.
It turned out the company is willing to relocate me to the Japan office. I tried to ask for relocation before but was not accepted. Now it is accepted and the HR is working on it. I expect it to take another month. Therefore, I am keeping my job for now and I am still staying in my home country to wait for the process of applying for a working visa.

I understand a “dependent visa” cannot have a job even that job is from overseas, will it be a problem for a “dependent” to change to “intracompany transferee”? Because it already implies I was still keeping my previous job in my home country while already getting a dependent visa. I recognize there may be some violation of the dependent visa condition. During the rather short period I got my resident card, I did not work “in Japan” as I am still staying in my home country and work.
I made a mistake in the sequence. If I submitted the resignation first and asked once again for relocation, I would not get the dependent visa in the first place but instead just wait for the working visa. Now it is a bit messed up.
Should I write an explanation letter to immigration office to proactively explain about it.
