This is our first trip to Japan We are flying in and out of Haneda Airport. Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated. I'm open to cutting specific things
- Day 1: arrive in Narita in the afternoon, stay in hotel near Shinagawa station
- Day 2: Wake up as early as possible and take the bullet train to Hiroshima station and then on to Miyajima where we will be staying for the night.
- Day 3: Stay on Miyajima the majority of the day and at night head to Hiroshima to stay there for a night
- Henjo Cave
- Shishiiwa Observatory
- Daishoin
- Itsukushima Shrine
- Day 4: Spend most of the day in Hiroshima and head to Onomichi for the night
- Peace Park
- Hiroshima Castle
- A bomb museum
- Orizuru Tower
- Day 5: Wake up early and use e-bikes to bike the Shimanami Kaido. Bus back to the start and stay in Onomichi again.
- Day 6: Travel to Kyoto in the morning (staying around Gion)

- Day 7-8 Kyoto (Not all going to happen this day
- Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
- Monkey Park
- Kiyomizu-dera
- Hōkan-ji
- Nishiki Market
- Day 9 Osaka day trip (from Kyoto lodging) (i would not be surprised if we have to cut something here)
- Osaka Castle
- Dontanbori
- Isakaya Toyo
- Osaka aquarium (maybe not enough time)
- Tsūtenkaku
- Day 10 Nara day trip. Then head to Tokyo
- Kofuku-ji temple
- Tōdai-ji
- Deer Park
- Day 11-14 Tokyo flying out 6pm day 14. I realize a more detailed Tokyo itinerary is probably necessary, but I'm still trying to figure that out. (would love recommendations on where to stay, places to eat, things im missing, tokyo is by far the least filled out portion of our trip so if its not enough to go on you can also just ignore all of this.)
