Hi there,
Been living already 6 years in Japan and I've been to saved a decent amount as to reconsider using JP Bank from now on (not a bad place but it basically just stores money and that's it) but I am completely lost. As far as I've seen interest rates are non-existent here so choosing a bank or another basically boils down to which card you can get and extra services they offer? I was thinking either Mitsubishi or Sumitomo since these are the closests ones to my place that I can go to at any time as I WFH. Also, what's better for a house loan? Have been thinking of getting a place of my own (no permanent residency and I doubt I can get it even though I work on IT) but the rates seem to be pretty bad from what I've read, specially considering I am a foreigner with no permanent residency. Would it be better to just simply forget about it?
Finally, if there's any advice or anything I could read about investments it would help lots, have no idea how deposits work in Japan at all or any other kind of investment plans.
Thanks in advance.
