First time trip, itinerary review and tips

Hi guys,

Planning a couple of trips for early next year Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Japan)I was looking for an itinerary check – the points are a rough guide of what I would like to cover in said day, but conscious not all will be feasible with crowds, travel etc. appreciate any advice or tips as this is my first time doing a long term trip outside of Europe!

Day 1: fly to Tokyo, check-in and explore:

Day 2: Tokyo
Meji Shrine
Shibuya Crossing
Hachiko Statue
Shibuya Sky

Day 3 Tokyo:
Ueno Park
Art Galleries in Ueno Park
Ueno Ameyoko
Akihabara

Day 4 Tokyo:
Senso-ji Temple
O-mikuji at Senso-ji
Imperial Palace
Zojo-ji Temple Grounds
Tokyo Tower

Day 5: day trip to Fuji (express bus)

Day 6: day trip from Tokyo to Nikko (Japanese rail pass??)
Shinkyo bridge
Hongu cafe
Running-ji temple
Nikko toshogu
Futarasan shrine
Nikko coffee
Kammangafuchi abyss
Train back

Day 7: bullet train (2h15, try reserve seats on Mount Fuji side) to Kyoto:
Fushimi Inari Taisha ( Morning)
Kyoto Tower / Central Town
Higashiyama and Gion Districts
Pontocho Alley / Dinner

Day 8: Kyoto
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove (Early Morning)
Arashiyama Iwatayama Monkey Park
Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion)

Day 9: Nars day trip from Kyoto (53 minute train)
kofuku-ji temple
Isuien garden
Todai-ji temple
Nara deer park and Mt Wakakusa
Kasuga-Taisha

Day 10 and 11: Kyoto to Hiroshima (train)
Peace memorial museum
Atomic bomb dome
Orizuru tower
Hiroshima castle
Shukkeien garden
Gokoku shrine
Fumi-Chan Okonomiyaki restaurant (Fumichan Nagarekawa-ten)

Day 12: Hiroshima > Osaka (1h30 bullet train)
Umeda Sky Building
Osaka Castle and Gardens
Shitennoji Temple
Tsutenkaku Tower

1Day 13: Osaka
– Namba Yasaka Jinja
– Hozenji Yokocho Alley
– Nipponbashi Den-Den Town
– Cooking Class
– Leisure Time and Exploration

Day 14: fly home 🙁
