Whilst loitering outside McDonalds Dotombuti around 13:00 on 13/08 I was approached by 2 Japanese boys in their early 20s. They asked about my football top and we had a conversation about football, they asked if we were busy Friday or if we wanted to go out drinking with them that day, to which we replied no but maybe Friday. Having exchanged insta they have messaged and are explaining that my brother and I are invited to a house party in Namba with their friends from university. Is this a known approach in the city and do I have reason to think this is a potential scam or I’m being led into a bad situation? Or do I take it at face value and trust the boys?
EDIT: my travel partner wants to add, they lead with wanting to go for a coffee with us then and there without asking much about us, they also mentioned at the end of our conversation that their would be “beautiful Japanese girls” at the party.
